Programs

At the Oromo Resource Center we provide several programs that aim to enrich and uplight our communities.

After School Programs

We are currently helping all children, especially, immigrant and minority children with summer enrichment programs (camping, field trips, and sports) & year round After-School Programs (home work help, tutoring focusing on Math and reading, and coding classes).

Youth Programs

Youth Circle: Youth Circle is where our center invites different professionals, experts, and elders from the community to talk to the youth. We provide workshops that targets our youth and the current issues in the community related to youth. The topics of the workshops are chosen by the youth themselves via survey. We provide light dinner and basketball playing time with our weekly lectures to engage the youth.

Family Programs

Parenting workshop: We are planning to provide parenting workshops for the parents of our youth program so that the parent-child relationship is strong at home. This will help bridge the gap that is being created in our communities between parents and the youth.
